Steven Universe: Volume 2
In many ways, the fifth and final regular season of Steven Universe was a departure from the rest of the series. Having established its deep mythos and lovable cast of rich characters, the show shifted to explore hidden corners of its world and revealed gasp-inducing new discoveries. Still, its central theme remained constant: Never stop fighting for compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and love.
Music, too, remained central to Steven Universe. Series creator Rebecca Sugar teamed up once again with Aivi & Surasshu, Ben Levin, and Jeff Liu to create an assortment of certified classics, performed by the show’s beloved cast. All-new tracks like “Ruby Rider” and “That Distant Shore” gave fan-favorite characters a chance to shine, while playful reprisals like “Let Me Ska My Van Into Your Heart” and “We Are The Crystal Gems (Change Your Mind Version)” put new twists on old hits.
We at iam8bit adored the music of season five, and we, like many of you, desperately wanted it on vinyl. So we joined forces with our friends at WaterTower Music to make it happen.
Say hello to the Steven Universe: Volume 2, 2x10” Vinyl set! We worked hard to produce a set that complements our 4x10” version of Volume 1, as well as our 4x10” set for the Movie. As you can see, the stunning album art from Steven Universe Art Director Jasmin Lai parallels the Volume 1 illustrations, ensuring all three sets simply stun while sitting together on your shelf.
Volume 2’s discs are pressed on Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond vinyl, complete with gorgeous diamond center labels that pair oh-so-nicely with Volume 1’s gem set. They contain 11 tracks from season five, plus the Reprisal of Love Like You, the show’s iconic end credits theme.
